J-CDS, through its support to JAQAR Space Engineering, is involved in a European Space Agency Concurrent Design System of Systems activity. The subject of this activity is GIANUS, a European governed System of Systems for crisis management. J-CDS covers the role of SoS Manager and is part of the Architecture board.

Currently the second so-called GIANUS II Concurrent Design activity is ongoing, the GIANUS I activity was performed end of 2009 (also with the same support of J-CDS).
