Phase2: Extension Package

After the phase 1 introduction and acceptance of the Concurrent Design approach Phase 2 (Extension Package) envisages the customisation of the approach to our customer's needs and organisation. It also includes the introduction of other Concurrent Design activities related to Concurrent Project Management:

• Concurrent Reviews
• Concurrent Planning design
• Concurrent Check-points

The Extension Package allows customers to increase the number of team members, on a permanent or temporary basis, and fully integrate them into the Concurrent Design team.

 The Extension Package consists of:

• Extended Concurrent Design Platform to include the extra design team members.
• 3 days of dedicated Design Assistance per extra team member in support of:
  • the training of the new team members in the methodology
  • the creation of new discipline models

An Extension Package is required to have more team members work concurrently together.

Through a requirement of a customer J-CDS introduced the possibility to have temporary team members. That customer designed a complete new invention and needed to be able to adapt the design team size depending on ad hoc needs.    

Therefore new team members can be added as permanent or temporary team members. The minimum duration of a temporary team member license is 1 yearly quarter.

An Extension Package request is handled ASAP by J-CDS engineers for your team not to encounter a delay and for the extended team to be ready for the next study/session.
